Welcome to Nursery! 

The Lancaster School Nursery is an amazing place for your child to start their learning journey. The children in our nursery thrive from all the hands on, fun and exciting opportunities they are provided with. They form long lasting friendships and learn how to play and work together. We ensure all children are provided with a safe, secure and happy environment to enable them to grow and develop as individuals.

We provide a stimulating environment that inspires the children to learn and ensure they achieve their full potential. The children love spending time outside in all weathers, where they learn and develop new skills such as building, climbing, balancing and riding a bike. Playing inside is also great fun, the children can play in the home corner, explore the small world resources, and make great models with construction kits.

The children begin phonics in nursery, they listen carefully to different sounds in the environment, play musical instruments and learn lots of new rhymes and songs. The children develop their writing skills through mark marking, drawing on the playground with chalks.  Our children love messy play such as painting, water play, sand play and drawing shapes and patterns in the shaving foam!
