Lindum Group came to show us one of their JCB diggers. We had great fun learning all about the different parts and watching it move. It has really inspired our children and many of them would like to be builders and drive diggers in the future.
Basketball Wow Day
Paul Sturgess, the tallest basketball player, visited school. He was officially measured by Guinness World Records in November 2011 at 7ft 7.26 inches tall. He was a huge inspiration to all of our children and they loved doing lots of different basketball tricks! Thank you Paul.
We were very excited to welcome Sarah Holt into school. She has represented Great Britain in many competitions and specializes in the Hammer Throw. We had great fun completing a circuit of exercises with her.
We are excited to announce that our new Outdoor Classroom is ready for the children and teachers to use! The school now has a functional base for both structured and unstructured learning. With this amazing sheltered area, teachers can bring lessons to life in all weather conditions. During break and lunch, children can use the area to socialise and relax during a busy school day. A huge thank you to Pentagon Play who designed and installed our new Outdoor Classroom.
We are part of the Government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast. The children have been enjoying a healthy bagel to help them with their learning.
Tractors in School Week
We were pleased to take part in the ‘Tractors in schools initiative’ as part of the Lincolnshire Showground. The children had great fun exploring the tractor and finding out about where our food comes from.
A huge thank you to the farmers David and Ben.
North Pole Talk
It was great to learn all about the North Pole from Mr Owen-James, a Royal Navy submariner. He spoke about how he kept warm in the icy conditions and let us explore some of his kit! Thank you for an amazing learning experience!
We used different materials to make our self-portraits and displayed our amazing artwork in our very own art gallery.
MSP have been teaching us archery this term. We are getting really good at hitting the target.
